It is an awful feeling in the middle of summer (or winter for that matter) when you turn on your thermostat and there is nothing but hot air blowing out the grilles or no air at all. There are a few things to do before you call your heat and air technician out that might save you some money.
1. Check your thermostat to make sure it is on and set to cool.
2. Check your breakers, if they are tripped re-set them.
3. Check your filters. If they are plugged ,remove them and replace (or clean them if you have washable filters)
4.If your unit has tripped on high head pressure, there might be a reset button at the copper lines at the condensing unit, after cleaning your filter and rinsing your outside coils, try it. If it can be reset , that might get you going until a technician can come.

DIY Summer Services
I know with the recent economic crisis, many people do now want to spend money on a heat and air company coming out and doing a summer service. You can do most of it yourself except for adjusting the freon. First you need to rinse the coils on your outside condenser, please remember to turn off the power to it first, and let it dry thouroughly before turning it back on. Then you need to check and either clean or replace your filter. That is it, in a nutshell !! If you have had problems with your system in the past and know you will need freon or know for a fact that your inside coil needs pulled and cleaned, then you need to call a heat and air company. Hopefully it will be us, but a company that you are familiar with is just as good.. Have a great day and if you have any questions about your heat and air, please give me a call at (918)225-1235 and I will do my best to answer them. Remember to keep clean filters in your unit to save on your energy bills !!! Talk to you later

Stimulus extended through 2010!!
I haven't been on in awhile but thought this was note worthy: The heat and air stimulus tax credit is extended through the year 2010, so if you are still thinking of getting new heat and air equipment, this is the perfect time!!! ALSO, remember to check those filters monthly !!!
